Chicago Roll Call

I just posted up at the Bunker. Mix of fans, still standing room to get in. Bar service is a little slow with only 2 tenders but that's to be expected.

We left Crossroads and went to Barrel something a block down the street. They became packed too but we were able to get dinner at 4:30. A burger was $17 so I got the NY strip for $29. It was pretty good.

It’s like 90% Cyclones in the bars lol. Inside more Michigan fans. Apparently they don’t drink like we do?

Idk. I was in STL for R64 & R32 and I went to both games of the sessions the Cyclones were in because I love CBB, but there were A LOT...and I mean A LOT of fans who came in just for their team/2nd game of the session.

I couldn't go to CHI (saving up for a *fingers crossed* Indy trip) but I imagine a lot of Clones are still at the bars/in transit.

I stopped at a bar by damen blue line and ran into a few cyclones on their way. I wanted a beer and a shot at happy hour prices before I'm stuck in the United center for 5 hours.

There's probably a good number of clones coming after work from around the city or the burbs.

After seeing the ISU crowd last night, do you still think there would have been more Michigan fans if we had won? Michigan had a headstart on buying tickets for the Sunday session, but there seemed to be enough Cyclone fans in Chicago to be a majority on Sunday if we had won.

For future reference, I thought it would be good to take note of ticket prices on Seat Geek at the start of regional finals games.

In Chicago, for the Tennessee/Michigan game,
  • the get-in price after tip-off for a single ticket was $25.
  • Section 228 Row 1 was $102.
  • Section 118 Row 10 was $144.
  • Section 113 Row 10 was $198.
  • Section 112 Row 11 was $244.
Last night, for the (Eastern) Iowa/Illinois game,
  • the get-in price after tip-off for a single ticket was $38.
  • Section 107 Row 12 was $167.
