^^ This if you’re willing to venture a little ways north.Pequods. It's what Chicago residents prefer.
^^ This is a great option and they have a location easy walking distance from McCormick.Pizanos
I think this is probably the best take. Frankly Giordanos, Gino’s, and Unos are all great as well. My favorite of those is Lou Malnati’s, but it’s close and atmosphere/service can make one Lou’s worse than any of them. My favorite Lou’s locations are probably the Gold Coast and South Loop locations.Looks like the pizza is covered.
Slightly off topic, but if you are round that area and want something Chicago authentic, head to Ricobene’s on 26th street. Order a breaded steak. It has been a few years since I was there. But I will never forget that place or how good that sandwich is. The fries are good too!!
Pequods is probably the best deep dish. But Lou Malnatis is much easier to get and nearly as good IMHO.
Actual Chicago style sucks. I want a meal, not a cracker that's about as filling as a Lunchables. My best suggestion would be to skip the deep dish and got straight for the tavern style. That’s kind of pizza Chicagoans eat, not deep dish.

Tavern style is thin crust that’s usually cut into squares. What's the difference?
Ginos East! This was the first Chicago pizza I ever had, and it was awesome! We're headed to Chicago next weekend. We'll be in the McCormink area. Can I get some recommendations for Chicago deep dish pizza close to that area?
Yes, and I disagree that this is the type of pizza Chicagoans eat. Might be a preferred option for sitting in a bar watching a game with a bunch of friends, and in general isn’t a bad option…but it’s not better and certainly isn’t what I would recommend to someone coming into town to try Chicago-style pizza.Tavern style is thin crust that’s usually cut into squares.
Art of Pizza has the best pizza in the city. Way better than any of the chains. They have a downtown location, but I’ve never been to that one. Pequods is second, but it’s a pretty different style to Art of Pizza. Pequods is way saucier and has the burnt edge.Let me throw in Art of Pizza as a different option than the classics.

Try Portillo's for an Italian Beef Sandwich.
