The Bears offered him a 1-year deal for $2 million...that's basically a slap in the face.
Rumors are that the Bears didn't want him back (old, slow, injury prone) so this was their way of saving face...make it look like they are "parting ways" because they couldn't agree on a deal. But when you offer a future HOF 1/2 the money back-up QBs are getting, there was never a deal to be made.
