The thing the finger waggers don't understand is that, for virtually all CFers, the RV thread was nothing more than a source of amusement while we awaited the decision of a top player. I think I read the whole thing and LOLed every day. The ISU fanbase isn't nearly as off balance as some you think they are.

I agree. An extremely large portion of the posts in that thread were not even related to Vaughn at all. I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out about it all of a sudden. The avatars were hilarious and anyone who couldn't see that it was all a big joke needs to relax.

This. Before I know anything about any recruit, I want the answer to that question. Otherwise there's no point.

who has landed us Sledge and Okoro, wow? Seriously this is why I was so dissappointed Fred brought in Salder last year instead of an asst who can recruit us some players. Until we get a staff that can recruit like Kansas, the best we can hope for is middle of the pack Big12 and just making the NCAA tourney.

Its been really surprising to many how quickly Fred has received accolades as a great X and O's coach and just has been an average recruiter, most thought he'd excel at recruiting

You do realize that currently KU is a top 3 program in the country, has an amazing tradition, national titles etc and arguably the best coach in the nation. We are never likely going to be able to recruit as well as the combo of KU and Bill Self. If you truly have that expectation there is going to be nothing but disappointment in your future. ISU has to find other ways of doing it and Fred is smart enough to see it.

If you don't think Fred is a good recruiter then you need to check yourself. Monte Morris, Matt Thomas, and Georges Niang were all 4 star kids, everyone of them has panned out so far and seem to get better by the month. All of our transfers minus Booker have been very good players for us.

Last I checked we are 18-5 on the year with the next 2 being at home and winnable. I bet if I told you before the year started that at this point in the year we would be 18-5 in the toughest conference in America you would have taken it am I right?
