Agree I would struggle with who my SEC #2 is, but after Georgia and Michigan I just feel like another SEC is most deserving.

Ohio St got spanked at home just a week ago by one of the four teams, ffs putting in 3 sec teams might make more sense than giving them an instant do over, plus it’d be good karma to leave them out over data points. (Just dreaming, they are nearly a lock)

I would actually keep TCU (even removing the Big 12 homer glasses) and if you have to punish USC for being good and playing a game that could only hurt them, which is still the dumbest thing ever and why this expanded playoff can’t come soon enough, then I would take Bama over Ohio State. Strictly if we are talking the current rankings. I would flip flop Ohio State and Bama because Bama has barely lost and Ohio State in their real test for absolutely embarrassed.

But again they are going to luck out because how do you take Bama over two teams that beat them (LSU and Tennessee) and had the same SEC record?

Side note: I would still put USC in as crazy as that sounds. Because I don’t believe teams should be punished for having to play an extra game against what is typically a really good opponent (sans Big Ten due to the West sucking so bad). I believe if you are playing in your championship you can only better yourself but nobody who has not earned the right to play on this weekend should get rewarded for losing and not being good enough on the regular season.

It’s why conference championship games are one of the dumbest things in this sport. If I were USC I would have lied and said they got COVID and forfeited the game last night.

That said Colin Klein is a really good OC. He call a really good game. Blend of smash mouth and takes deep shots. Does a really nice job of keeping offenses off balance.
