CF Villain Bracket Nomination Thread

I'm not exactly thrilled with comic book and superhero villians in this. Enough of those for their own bracket.
We could take them out completely, but then we lose Heath Ledger's brilliant performance as The Joker, which is one of the greatest acting jobs ever, in my opinion. I think if we limit it to 3-4 of these characters making the tourney then it shouldn't be a big deal. Maybe we could have a public vote on which ones to include?

Hack-man as Lex Luther is also a big one. Maybe more iconic than great villain/performance.

I don't know what it takes to help with the selection committee or if you want more folks, but I did have a couple of ideas.

As you mentioned, several categories could fill out a bracket of their own, but if you wanted to, you could go with each region sticking to a category:
1. Marvel/DC Villains
2. Disney/other animated
3. Human live action villains
4. Non-human villains?

Give your other request, I think Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit should be considered.

Maybe if we link superhero villain to actor portraying them but then you have things like with Joker most like Heath, but I prefer Jack.

comic book villians are tricky. because most have been played by multiple actors and different directors and different eras of movie production. there is just too much lore and standing on the shoulders of others that factors in when judging them IMO.

are you voting on the archetype itself or a particular actors performance that resonated to perfection? it gets confusing and doesnt stack up fairly against the other non comic villians.

Like the thought but limiting human villians to 16 would be extremely tough.

This version would exclude a huge amount of quality villians.

Couple others I didn't see. (cheating by looking at AFI).
Mr. Potter (Its a Wonderful Life)
Michael Corleone (The Godfather Part II)
Mark (Old School) - just a joke but I've never heard a movie crowd react quite the way they did at Craig Kilborn's character in Old School

True. Maybe in the future, one with these categories.
1. Marvel Villains
2. DC Villains
3. Disney/other animated
4. Non-human
