Does anyone know if Percy Gibson is going to be playing tonight at the CCL?

Sledge isn't going to be there? Darn, I wanted to see him tonight.

I'm pretty sure he is going to be back in New York for something. If you were planning on going tonight still go. I am not positive he will be gone but I had checked his facebook to see if he was going to be there because I wanted to see him play but he said he will be back home on Wednesday.

I am pretty sure sledge is here. Iknow gibson is

Gibson was OK. You could tell he is a true freshman and was a bit lost at times. Not a big deal. The thing I noticed is that he is fairly solid for a freshman; not packed but not really skinny either. Oh, and he has VERY long arms. And he is left handed.

Sledge can jump and fly...Wow! It is weird watching a guy his size get up on a drive and play around the rim with the big boys. I was very impressed by his speed, passing and getting off the ground so effortlessly. I wouldn't say he had a great scoring game, but likes to move the ball around. He is built pretty good too. Babb had a heck of a game tossing up 3's and has a nose for the ball. I thought Booker played with hustle and Allen can drain the 3 too. Will Clyburn started out a little rough but plays hard and has a nice touch..needs a little weight. Didn't see Royce play but he is a big son of a gun.

My quick summary of tonight. Missed the first game; lots more fans than last year and almost all were ISU fans. Cool ! Most observations have already been disclosed. Royce White is just a very large guy. Big hands, big feet, thick arms, and a wide body. He also was playing on the perimeter almost exclusively. I asked Bubu if that is the way he always plays. He said no, its only because there are no coaches here and he is working on his ball handling. Cool. I asked about the scout team last year and he said Royce played in the paint almost all the time and "he is VERY hard to guard down there". As you all know, Bubu is very quick and a good defender so that means something.

Ejim was also working on his game. He was penetrating almost exclusively and taking it to the rack every time he touched it. Sometimes it worked. Many times it did not; thus the work. Didn't shoot much from the outside.

Chris Allen is the real deal. He and Bubu are on the same team along with Rice from Drake. Rice didn't do much but there was a incoming drake freshman playing on that team. A white guy, I've never heard of. I think drake got a good one there. He was about the same size as Allen/Rice; maybe 6-3, 6-4 and just had an all around good game.

That's all folks. I'm tired.

Edit: Yes, Sledge was there and its just what we heard. Very, very quick and has very good court vision. Pentetrates into the lane and somehow doesn't foul, gets fouled, and makes the shot anyway. Kinda like Stinson in a way but much smaller. His outside shot needs a LOT of work. Even his FT shooting looked suspect. He is built a lot more solid than I expected. I liked his court vision and his passing ability.
