CBS: Royce to NBA

Wow, this turned from being about Royce to bashing Ejim pretty quickly. Stay Classy Cyclone Fans.

Have you every been on a message board before? This is in no way bashing. Even the hands thing is valid, he did not catch the ball cleanly enough this year. Thats a fact and I bet he would tell you that.

Some of the issue was Ejim catching, some was Royce lacking anything resembling touch on his passes. The bounce pass is a grossly underutilized tool.

Damn. We could do something special next year with him, but I support his decision if this is true. I really hope he gets guaranteed money..spend his money wisely and he'll be set for life.

REALLY hope he does well in the NBA. He's one of my favorite college players of all time easily.

I'll be very happy for the guy if this turns out to be the right decision.

Disagree. He didn't need to on a top 5 three point shooting team in tbe nation. He will need to with that lineup. McGee and Babb are the only confirmed 3pt threats. If KL, Clyburn, or Niang can shoot it will be less necessary, but still needs improvement.

Serious? Of course Clyburn can shoot. The dude is a 6'7'' shooting guard that knocks down 40%+ from behind the arc. At this point, Clyburn and McGee are our best options from downtown. Babb really dropped off after something like the 6th conference game (somebody tweeted about that being the turning point for him). I hope he finds it again, but he is less "confirmed" than either WC or TM.

I guess he didn't talk to Fizer, Stinson, Will or Brackins. Maybe he can live on D league money.

Explain to me how Fizer or Brahmins is in any way similar? Fizer went top 5.....
If anything Brackins would say dint stay, it got him kicked from the lottery.

Hoped he'd come back but this is probably the best decision for him personally. And making the decision sooner rather than later is a good thing for the program. Best of luck to you, Royce.

And I still think we have a damn good team coming back next year.

Royce will do great and impress execs w/ workouts and engaging personality. And WAY too much made of flying. Flew all year, even to Italy.

Yup, be happy to have closure one way or another asap.

Brackins' problem, for those of you who lightly pay attention, is that he plays for a team that's stacked at his position.

Not sure why it hasn't 100% happened, but he could go to a lot of other teams and get a little playing time.

Well, best of luck to him. I just hope that he is successful. I would hate to see him leave and be a bust.

Im just saying we lose Scotty and Allen and add Clyburn, if he is as good as either of that at 3pt shoting it will be a coup. Best case scenario in that situation we only lose 50% of the net 3pt shooting production from those two. KL's percentage isn't nearly that high.

God forbid I say a player needs to improve his shot....

Totally agree with that. That ONE story broke and nobody paid attention to the fact that this was the first time he DID NOT fly. If he has people he knows on the flight or people he trusts, he's fine to fly.

I still don't get the Sixers' thinking on that. They really didn't need him, and they weren't a good fit for him. I'm not seeing any winners on Craig's draft selection.
