Can we put this to bed?

Yes, but the source! There must be more. Perhaps an exact link so I can block it.
See if you can find where it's hidden

As a fan it is ok to be frustrated. Fans devote a lot of time and money into supporting their team and want them to succeed, when they underachieve you should be able to vent - however there is a line not to cross. The kids are trying and they are kids - they should be shielded from most of the frustration - unless they do something really dumb (not effort). CSP is paid millions to recruit and coach - if there is someone that should be held to a standard of being criticized, he is the one.

This years team was hurt by some kids leaving early and 1/2 the incoming class not even on campus anymore. That is where good coaching needs to overcome. Nobody was expecting a conference championship - but everyone expected to win a game when you are a 28 point favorite at home.

I really don't care who labels me what for how I feel. The facts speak for themselves. I don't believe we're good, I don't like the direction we appear to be heading and I am critical of the coach.

Do I cheer against them? Never. Am I pissed when we get embarrassed? Yep.

It doesn't matter if I'm a basketball genius or know more or less than the coach...any more than If I have a medical opinion or religious opinion and don't have PHD's in either.

I am frustrated because of lack of performance all the way through the program and as a fan, I don't need to justify it to anyone. I'm so ******* tired of people telling me how to be a fan. Stay in your lane...if you don't like me, I don't really give a ****. Paint your face cardinal and gold and get in the front row and say #1 to the camera. I don't think your silly for doing it, you just have a different way of showing support.

Go State!

I don't want them to lose, and I'd never root against them. But I have reached a point of serious apathy about the games.

And I can't pretend they are good and there are no problems to be fixed.
Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
I concur. Most of us who have been around a long time have lived through far worse than what we are currently seeing. However, apathy is the enemy here. If the fans cease caring about the teams because the product being offered is so poor the programs suffer immense damage.

ISU is a hard place to win at when the fans are engaged and everyone is pulling together. Winning at ISU is a very fragile thing and difficult to repair once broken.

I want Prohm fired. But I'm still going to cheer for them to win every game. Duh. And if they lose? Eh, whatever. I'll probably turn the channel after they get down by 15-20. Not interested in watching them chuck up a bunch of bricks from three the rest of the game.

Go Cyclones.
