I had not heard of this guy before the beginning of the season. I looked him up for his recruiting profile and couldn’t find it anywhere! I’m assuming he must be a walk-on who made it on to the team.

In my opinion he’s been our best LB and a critical piece of the defense, just wanted to shout him out as he’s been a good player for us so far and I hope he’ll continue to improve

I like him, I think honestly he's best at DE though. But I do like his motor and effort and everything he brings

A very pleasant surprise so far. Which is good, because a few of the scholarship guys have been disappointing. Very young group though, so willing to be a little patient with them.

He is exactly the kind of instate kid that Iowa has cultivated with great success in the Fry-Ferentz years. It’s great to see ISU find and develop a guy like Bacon. Danny Mac had a lot of those in his tenure (Chris Anthony, Marcel Howard, Jordan Carstens, Ryan Harklau to name a few).

that TD was not his fault. it was on the safety and/or the coaches for a bad defensive playcall. Also he was still connected to the RB who had to make a good play to not get grabbed and stopped by Bacon. In times past we wouldn't even make the other teams have to make a good play to score!

I have no idea, nor do I really care what these (4) guys are getting paid but I am fairly confident this is exactly what the NCAA envisioned when they approved and published NIL. They obviously missed some loop holes and regulations but what the IA Pork Producers are doing here is hilarious, it's awesome, it's fun, it's creative, it's everything that NIL was suppose to be.

Agree. He has been a big surprise and impact player

He is a solid LB, but feel where he can make a huge impact is pass rushing LB in the 3-3-5. Move him around as a stand up rusher.
