It’s amazing that we’ll buy anything with a “color scheme†we like even though what’s inside is what counts. Since becoming a home brewer (craft) I can’t stand what our domestic brewers call beer. But I have to admit, I have a few cases of the stuff at home for tailgating. So I’ll take my place in line and like what I’m told to like…..for the good of the tailgate.
these people who are complaining about this are the kind that just want to complain about something to hear their own voice. Bud is being way more cooperative than I think they should. Nobody can tell them what color to make their cans.. I mean, their aim is clear. Still, they aren't using logos or names and they arent marketing it to underage drinkers so they are not at any sort of fault here.
Here is a quote from a Bud rep in the DM Rag...
"Certain cans are not being made available in communities where organizations asked us not to offer them," Clark said in a prepared statement.
So I wonder when he says "communities" is he saying that they are pulling the cans from the college towns (Ames & IC) or will they be pulling all of the ISU/Iowa cans.
The universities are doing this under the pretense that they think this promotion is targeting underage drinkers. Let's be honest, the color of the cans isn't going to change the fact that underage drinkers are going to go out and drink. The schools are just ****** because they weren't in on it and they're not getting a share of the money.
Better scoop up what you can before they get pulled. I already stocked up on a few cases to save for Saturdays.![]()
