Combination of excellent coaching staff and the training/practice facility have built this. I live in CoMO and Missouri sent a lot of guys to the NFL on offensive and defensive line, receiver, linebacker and defensive back. I can only remember one who was a big time recruit.

I'm sure somebody will want to pay Campbell a king's ransom - I'm thinking he will stay at ISU. He is well paid and has a job for as long as he wants it.

Yeah that was before Mizzou left for the SEC.

True - the chased the money and lost a portion of their fan base. I haven't attended a game in years and I live 15 minutes from the stadium.
I have a couple questions for you and other Missouri fans.

1)Were you for the move to the SEC or was it just just your admin that wanted to give the big middle finger to the Big 12?

2) If you were for the move, do you now regret the move and would go back if there was an opportunity?

Not that there is an invite ready to be handed out but I feel Missouri has more value to gain and give in the Big 12 than the SEC.

It had a mixed reception. I was born in Iowa - Storm Lake because Newell didn't have a hospital - and I've always been a fan of the Midwest sports. In my entire life I had never watched an SEC game. Their attendance has suffered because all the regional rivals are gone. Some fans think the SEC is great but some like me disagree and have stopped attending games. Missouri only plays 3 SEC schools home and home in basketball annually. SEC assigned Mississippi, Arkansas and aTm as the designated rivals. If you stopped 100 people in downtown CoMO and asked who Missouri's rivals were in basketball I doubt any would know the answer. Nobody had any doubt who the rival was in the Big 12.

Another issue is the SEC Network which is a major factor in declining interest. I refuse to pay an extra $200 a year just to watch a few Missouri football and basketball games. Turnstile for both sports has seriously declined not just with covid but prior to covid as well. I am able to watch 90% of Iowa State games with my standard direct tv package.

Speaking for myself I'd return to the Big 12 in a minute but it won't happen so long as the SEC writes the fat check to the athletic department every year. Administrators love money.
