That sucks. I guess I assumed the S curve was just standard Bracketology.Yes they were, the tournament didn't do the S curve back then.

Only guaranteed protection in the first round. It gets hard to slot teams in when there are so many from each conference. It's unavoidable sometimes.I like this guy but curious about this bracket. Isn't it not possible for us to be placed in Omaha against (possibly) Nebraska? Something along the lines of protecting the top 16 seeds so we aren't basically playing a road game? Maybe I'm wrong.

I was curious, so I looked it up- Alabama's defense (101st overall) would be ranked 13th in the Big 12, only ahead of Oklahoma State (122) and West Virginia (132). They're basically Baylor with a worse defense. They are a little scary, but I doubt they've seen a defense like ours, and they give up a lot of points. I figure the Sweet Sixteen game is going to be tough in any case, so give me our great defense against their great offense, and our good offense against their bad defense.
Yes, R64 only, and 1-4 seed lines only, as you have stated several times (and a few others have mentioned it).Only guaranteed protection in the first round. It gets hard to slot teams in when there are so many from each conference. It's unavoidable sometimes.
I don't think a #1 seed is completely off the table yet, but we'd have to win out and would need some help from Arizona and Tennessee.

More 2 seed talk
Finally seeded ahead of Kansas
Marquette will lose there next two games and should drop down to a 3 seed and ISU take there spot at #7. Baylor will take the ISU spot at #8.
Glad all the SEC school (outside of Tennessee) are in the 4 seeds. That's where they belong.
Michigan State should not be in. It's stupid that they are rated so high in the NET (they are gaming the system!!!!)
Any chance of a Drake vs Iowa play-in game if Drake doesn't win MVC Tourney?

Bid stealers if they do win the tourney. Seems like Indiana State is in as a auto bid either way.I think Drake will be on the wrong side of the bubble if they don't win Arch Madness.
Yep, Iowa fans don't want Drake to win the Valley tournament.Bid stealers if they do win the tourney. Seems like Indiana State is in as a auto bid either way.
