Boycott Clone Clones

Keep in mind that these are student volunteers at these concession stands. My daughter's club ran one of the walking taco stands today. The kitchen couldn't keep up with providing them the meat. In fact they didn't even have the meat before the opening tip.

They should sell the animal science ice cream instead, not red 5 flavored soft serve.
I like this idea. (Maybe even have it available at JTS?) It would be a good way to "showcase" the ISU Creamery. I'm guessing it would be difficult to find students to work at the stand, but I think they would sell out of ice cream at every event & make some $.

Not sure if it is every game, but for some FB games they sell this on the patio at the alumni center. At least a couple of yrs ago they did.

All in all Hilton has a long ways to go on concessions and I imagine with Cytown on the Horizon there won't be many changes.

The real problem is that it doesn't have the capacity to grill things. I think all they can do is heat things up with steam. I know the Hilton renovations called for additional ventilation that would allow better concessions. But I've got to assume that is never going to happen at this point.

A few years ago I would ask for a clone cone that was more than half the size of what they were giving people and I'd still get too much to eat.

I haven't gotten a clone cone in a few years, but based on the size of the ones I've seen, I'm guessing there would be no need to ask for a smaller one.

Plus, Jamie could solve all the NIL issues if he just bought enough Clone Cone machines to sell them in a timely fashion at halftime. There should be no reason that I'm 7-8 minutes into the second before I'm able to come back into the game because I've been waiting in a line that stretches 2x around the city of Ames to get a Clone Cone.
This right here. Lean into it & get more machines. How many people decide not to buy them so they don't miss the game? I've made the decision not to buy many a time for this reason.

Yeah I know the concession variety is limited by space. I just know it would be handy for a lot of families if there was just even a couple more options like a pizza slice or chicken strips.

I would just take your coat and eat on your way to the parking lot if it takes that long. By that time half the lower level is already on their way.

It's not limited by space, exactly. It's limited by type. I'd assume they could get pizza in there. And maybe if people were willing to put up with chicken strips that were just warming at Hilton rather than cooked at Hilton they could do those.

Yeah if they could cook pizza and just wheel it on a warming tower that would be nice.

Years ago Hyvee had a small area where you could get sandwiches, maybe I was one of the only people to do that.

The size definitely has gotten smaller, but what p*sses me off even more, it's not even red and yellow ice cream. It's RED AND ORANGE!!!! That's why I've been boycotting them.
Someone next to us yesterday got one and it actually looked like it had correctly colors for once.

That said I’ve never understood why anyone outside of kids get them. It’s just vanilla soft serve.

They also had pizza, and we liked buying a slice more than any of the other food options. Plus, there was no waiting, really. Tried the sandwiches, but they seemed much more bread than filling

Ok, I’ll say it. Clone cones aren’t even that good.
