Bowl Game Projections

Finish 7-6 with a loss to Memphis in the Liberty Bowl after starting 6-2 is the most Iowa State thing ever
Some people think the glass is half full. Some people think the glass is half empty.
CyForPresident smashes the glass and uses the shards to slit his wrists.

Buck the **** up, camper.

Never understood why sour grapes playing a team on their home field in a bowl, happens a lot like Miami in the Orange or Texas plays in Dallas or in San Antonio or Iowa played San Diego State in the Holiday Bowl in the 80's!

So they rewarded teams not having a 13th data oint and punished teams playing in conference championship. Hog wash that 3rd loss in no way should be used against them
They say the Big 12 hurts themselves for not having a conference championship, so the Big 12 adds a conference championship game, and the committee drops TCU for losing to who I think is the #1 team, Oklahoma, out of the top 12. This committee sure does like to change their criteria as they go along.

No it isn't.

In Memphis vs. Memphis isn't ideal but any bowl at this point if fine. I'm just bummed because I think I wouldn't be able to watch this team and these seniors one last game. They deserve a ton of support.

If it's this way in 2-3 years and ISU hasn't gone beyond it, then maybe some need for concern, but even then it would still mean ISU's consistently going to bowls and that's hardly ever been achieved.

It's like complaining about a basketball season that may not end up in the tourney, like 6 in a row had been something normal at ISU.

You forgot our favorite- Iowa State on the cold blue turf.

Sorry you feel like the world is out to get you or ISU, that’s a lonely life to live.

The world must be out to get us. All we've heard since the Okie State game is how every bad thing that has ever happened to any Iowa State team is because someone somewhere hated us and took it upon themselves to act on that hatred during a sporting event.

I wasn't impressed with Memphis when we went there in 2012. Beale street was nice since so many Cyclone fans but the rest of the town I thought was a dump.

Was hoping for Orlando because of the weather. Oh well. Gotta win more games if we want better bowl destinations.

I mean, can it even happen? Thought they put in a rule that a team with 2 more wins can’t be jumped.
After the playoffs and NY6 the remaining bowls can pick whomever they want. No seeding by record or standing for big12 affiliated bowls

Yup. It is a moving target. But knowing this committee, they would find a way to keep OU out of the playoffs if the Big 12 didn't have a championship.
