I would've agreed earlier in the season, but I like what I've seen out of Harris the last couple weeks.

This. Plus with so much specializing in sports these days, these kids are playing 100 + games a year, starting at 12 years old. All that stess on developing joints eventually takes its toll.

Bowen Born would be Clayton Custer 2.0. Good MVC player. Out of his league in a P5 conference.

His lack lateral quickness is what sticks out to me. Would not be able to defend in the P5.
Born wouldn't be a p6 player without a RS year. His role on ISU would be bench gunner as maybe a RS so, probably a RS jr. We have guys that are much more physically suited to play in our league than him who get overwhelmed every night.
Then you know that Blackwell and Dubar and Walker would be at least as successful at that level simply due to athleticism.
His dad was one of my 4 favorite Iowa State players ever. He didn’t get his size or athleticism.
he did get his competitiveness and is more skilled.
like all of our freshmen, the game is still a little too fast for him. It would be far far more so if he played in the big 12

I agree. But I would think he wants to wait for that until Bowen is done at uni.
I still would like to see Jeff Grayer on the staff. McDermott hired him before he left, and Fred didn’t retain him. But let him work with the post guys. Dude averaged over 9 boards a game as a 6’4 forward.
Those are season stats for all of our freshman.
