I am sure the potential is there. I imagine that TJ talked to VA staff and Tony Bennett about the VA prospects. Both TJ and Bennett are good at evaluating players

If we get Cluff we are all good. Mulder will barely see the court. This kid can be a better player than Chatfield. Just need a guy would can replace jones or at least a lock down defender in Jones spot and we go back to being a defensive team with Tamin, Jefferson and Milan as the scoring threats

My answer is yes, but not in the same way above the rim guys are.
I’m not saying he’s in the same tier as either Jokic or Georges, but Cluff has scoring ability that any of us would be pleased to have on board.
We’re going to see a lot of Jefferson at the 5 so I assume these 2 new bigs will average less minutes than Chat and Jackson. Get a scoring guard and we’ll be golden.
I think he's on par athletically with Jackson and Chatfield - the major boost is his offensive skill and rebounding ability. We lacked both in the post this past season, so to get both weapons in one guy would be a huge upgrade.
Now it seems we're just adding guys that were on par/slightly better than Jackson and Chatfield without the big boost in offensive skill and rebounding ability. Thus the "meh" reaction.
We must be really confident in Batemon and/or Toure hitting, or else the strategy thus far has been puzzling.
Don’t understand that.. Lose Gilbert and Jones. Bring in Rhode and Williams. That’s Lipsey, Rhode, Heise, Milan and Williams to play 3 positions. I hope Toure and Batemon are good but I’d be shocked if we played 6/7 guards.
Assuming the $$ have to be there. I’m guessing they were for Cluff (assuming the rumors are true). If we do get him and a guard, hard to complain.
An objective, significant downgrade. Hoping we could bring in a more dynamic guard, but again, maybe Batemon/Toure can help fill some of that void.
I think the hope would be that Milan plays the 4 and Heise simply gets recruited over (Rhode)/the freshmen take all his minutes.

Think it was going to be very tough to bring in guys as good as them BUT the new guys haven’t played a minute for us yet. When Gilbert and Curtis first got here, I didn’t know what to think.
If one of them can contribute as a freshman we should be good at guard.
Yeah I don’t think we’re doing that at all. Heise is definitely not being recruited over and will play a lot next year.
The teams still playing all play great offense, but they also have players who can get their own shots. Other than Milan, I don't know anyone else who can do that. Hopefully one of the freshmen and maybe Williams will surprise us with their offensive skills.
AND, I think I saw more passes be caught and finished in those highlights than I did by a certain player from this year's team, (who I very much appreciate and hope has a great next stop. Seemed like a nice guy. But one that could not handle many of the passes Jefferson was laying down.)
