So the wife was telling me today that she is leaving to go shop at 10 oclock tonight. To me its absolutely absurd. Whatever I guess I dont have to go.
And if its like years past she won't be home until sometime in the afternoon.

Do any of you do this our your spouses?

You're going to miss her that much? Don't tell me you can't find something to do in those 18 hours...

Did it last year and my wife has been doing it for a number of years. I don't think we will be doing it tomorrow. There just doesn't seem to be that many deals or things that we want this year. Plus the opening times are all over the map. Some are opening at 3am, which is a little insane.

Nope. The wife doesn't get all caught up in it and she has to work all weekend including tomorrow. I didn't see anything worth going out and fighting the crazy people. Amazon has had just as good of deals (no tax + free shipping + shopping at home).

Even if i was willing to get in a long line for a deal, gotta second that there really havent been outstanding deals anywhere.

Just thumbed through the ads. Some games and movies I'd like to buy, but nothing I need to be in line at midnight for a 5 a.m. opening. I was able to get the games and movies I wanted a year ago at 10 a.m.

I do need a new desktop or laptop for when I return to Iowa State as a student this spring. Best Buy has a 3GB RAM and 320GB hard drive Toshiba laptop for $189. But with the weather forecast for tonight being:

"Mostly clear, with a low around 9. Wind chill values as low as -5. Breezy, with a west wind between 13 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph."

I don't know it is worth leaving here in the next half hour to get in line for 12 hours for something I'll ended up not getting.

I do need a new computer though. This 6-year old 512MB RAM desktop isn't what it once was.

But wait, you promised your sisters you would take them shopping...

So.....

Walmart deals start at 12:01, so there is time to stay up and then still get to bed and sleep in.

Anyone know if the CR walmarts are actually closing today? I was planning on going to get the midnight deals, but I wanted to know if I can get in early or if the doors don't open until midnight.

Pretty sure walmarts aren't closing anymore after that trampling death a couple years ago...

we have done BF for 5 years now, this year the deals are less than spectacular or we just don't need as much - or both - but its very cold here in Wisconsin so not worth it to stand in line to save a few bucks

I'm sure Walmart will be like last year where you wait inside in a line waiting for midnight for them to bring out the item you want. I waited in the booze aisle for a tv last year. I've seen Best Buy do something similar. For the big items it's pretty efficient. For the little stuff it's still every dirtbag for himself. Beats waiting outside.

Gotta work at Radio Shack from 6:30-5:30. Not excited about it, but not dreading it either I guess. We'll see how it goes.
