We're leaving Wednesday on vacation and hope that by the time Sunday rolls around, we consider all of our money well-spent: tickets, refreshments, lodging, refreshments, parking, refreshments, etc.

Heading down Wednesday night. My Aunt and her family of four have four tickets and I'll be the odd man out watching the first game on the jumbo screen outside the center. Lucked out and got a championship ticket for $20 from a Jayhawk fan leaving Sprint after we beat them. Even if I don't get into any of the games, I love it down there. Such a great atmosphere, but winning always makes it better.

We have 16 going and sitting together.... some heading down Wed. night.. the rest early Thur. morning...

Parents and girlfriend going down Wednesday morning. Stay at my uncles house in Overland Park. Aunt flys in from Denver, aunt and uncle drive up from Omaha. We've made this a nice family weekend! Should be fun!

Side note. Who's been going so many years they remember when it was at Kemper but so few fans would go to the pregame in the Adjacent building for fan fest? We went there when there was literally on tiny little tv in the Iowa state game watch room and it was me and my brother and aunt watching our game with maybe three others. It grew so fast after that. I think this is our 23rd straight year? Time flies.

We went down a few years and almost never made it out of Westport to go to a game. Kelly's was always rocking during the Cyclone games.

I haven't made it to Kelly's in a number of years. Is it still a lot of fun? Many a story of having too much too drink there followed by scarfing down Joe's Pizza in there. Also really love Harpo's. Amazing vodka lemonades there!

Haven't been there in years. I closed down Buzzard Beach more than my share as well playing shuffleboard and foosball. What a hole that place was.

Who remembers going the the Big 8 Holiday tournament in Kemper? We used to be able to get a full day pass for Thursday and watch all eight teams play. Great times!

Exactly.....we have been vomiting outside Kelly's decades before you whipper snappers could order your appletinis in your Affliction shirts and hemp flip flops.
