So I'm going to be in Kansas City with my family for the Big 12 Tournament and it's my first time going. My 3 very young kids will be with us and my parents agreed to watch the kids for the games ISU plays in so my wife and I can go.

I'm assuming it doesn't make sense to buy the all session tickets since I'll only be able to go to the (hopefully three) games that ISU is in. Is it normally pretty easy to find affordable tickets from people outside the stadium before the games?

Sorry but no, it's usually not at all easy to get non-expensive tickets (outside on game day) for any games on Thursday or Friday.

If ISU and KU are on opposite sessions for Thursday, tickets should be quite reasonable.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if it makes more sense to find the single session tickets or to just get the all session ones now since I can only make it for the games ISU is in.

I think it depends on what the OP considers reasonable. Still looking at $10-$50 over face value on Thursday night. The tickets for Friday's Semi-Final round are absolutely insane. Essentially, people buy the all-session tickets so they don't have to worry about trying to pay 2-3x face value for Friday's games. Quite frankly if Kansas plays Iowa State on Saturday that will likely be just as bad as Friday night's games.

In my opinion I would try and get some Upper Level all-session passes and then sell the games that Iowa State is not involved in.

If ISU and KU are in different brackets, Thursday tickets will be available. If either KSU or KU looses Thursday, more tickets will be available Friday. If KU and KSU both advance to Friday.....good luck. If KU and ISU happen to be in the finals, they will be available, but not cheap.

Another tip, if you are willing to buy tickets until after the tip off, you will have better luck, but then you miss some of the game too......

Five sessions total. One session Wednesday night (2 games), two sessions on Thursday (Quarter Finals), one day, one evening. One each on Friday (Semi Finals) and Saturday (Championship).

We knew that we would have friends coming down for Saturday's game so tried to buy tickets inside (not legal) and outside the arena. Only found upper level tickets and the cheapest ones we found was $60 from a guy too drunk to walk.

Kansas people would rather take their tickets home with them than sell them.

I have 3 extra all sessions upper deck for sale. 3 people in our group can't make it this year.

All 3 will be together. They are being mailed to me next week from the school. $400 apiece. People from our group can't make it this year. I'll have them in hand in DSM area or I'll be at the tournament that Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
