Big 12 Seeding for Wrestling

Ukraine shut down their shipping
Problem with that is the grain is still there, just going to be delayed or routed elsewhese depending on how this plays out.

I am worried about the Natural gas and what is going to happen with NH3. Glad I got my nitrogen bought for this year.

Yeah, probably why cash corn is hot but deferred is not. The area they are in does not produce corn and only produces a little beans so crop wise it shouldn’t affect us

Will be interesting to see the seeding for 84 now with there being 4 spots available for Detroit even though whoever gets 5th is going to receive an atlarge

Potentially 8 "true" placing matches in Tulsa:

125 - 6th
133 - 6th
149 - 4th
157 - 6th
165 - 4th
174 - 8th (plus a mini-bracket to determine 9th)
184 - 4th
285 - 6th

I am super pumped for the semi’s. We should have a ton of guys in there.

Anyone know any more other than mat coverage is on espn +?

Unfortunately can't attend Nationals this year, but decided to host a small watch party. I don't see where they've posted the TV schedule for Nationals. Will they have 8 mat view and 6 mat view along with options to view each mat? I've been trying to find a copy or recording of the 8 mat view to see how it will look on my projector screen.

I believe last year was:
*broadcast feed
*scores (all mats)
*individual mat feeds (no grouping/boxes)

I recall a last year they had an 8 mat screen. My set up was 6 screens and we used the 8 screen view to select the match we wanted to watch on the big TV. Glad to be going this year though.

Similar set up for me. Big view on the tv. Use my laptop for a mat view when one of our guys is going.

If Parker can win Big12s he might be looking at the 3 seed at Nationals. Real Woods just took a pin. Would have recent wins over 2 of these 3 Carlson, Alirez, Hart. Big10 guys are taking losses at conference. Lee 1, Eierman 2, Parker 3?

I'd be pretty surprised if the loser of the Rivera/Eierman B10 semi isn't the 3 unless they don't get to that match for some reason. Maybe Ian can make an argument for the 4 but it'll be interesting to see if they reward him having so few matches. I dont study it as closely as some and maybe I'm too pessimistic but I still have him around the 5-7 in my head. Tough weight to seed for sure.

A lot of the guys have taken some losses lately so Ian is in control if he wins out. I’ve only read Rivera is dinged up, but he wrestled on 2/18 so maybe he’s fine. If he’s fine and beats Eierman, Parker to 3, Eierman 4, Rivera 2. I could be off, but he will finally have some quality wins if he runs the table Saturday and Sunday.

I hope he gets a crack at Eierman. I know he struggles with guys like that but I would love nothing more than to watch Ian beat his ass.

From my recollection, the Big12 doesn't have true placement matches. Am I remembering correctly? Write up in Wide Right states the same...
Tulsa Time: Big 12 Team Race Preview
They do. Chase had to win a true placement match in 2020 to get his NCAA spot. Also, if you look at the schedule, Sunday morning has "any additional matches" listed
