Kim breaking down on the bus is a hint to me that she didn’t leave ABQ. She won’t actually get on the plane back to Florida. She’ll reunite with Jimmy one last time.

Part of me hopes that Kim and Jimmy use the vacuum repair man one last time to escape… and the final scene of the Breaking Bad universe is those two, happy, with new identities, somewhere in Alaska, where they run into Jesse Pinkman, and then they all continue on their separate ways. But part of me knows this can’t have a happy ending.

If you go back to the start of the scene with Kim at the airport after arriving in ABQ, it seemed to linger on the Alaska sign. Maybe that was just foreshadowing the later scene between her and Jesse, but maybe there’s more.

I also was thinking the shot of Kim standing near the Alaska sign at the airport might be some foreshadowing. I'm sure I'll be way off, but my prediction is for a happy ending with Kim and Jimmy escaping to Alaska via the vacuum guy.

Whatever the ending is, I just don't want it to be open ended. I need closure!

P.S. I think I like Kim better as a brunette. :)

No way - she looked like a weirdo with that hair color and style

I don’t know what life will be without BCS and BB. They are two of the greatest shows ever and I have watched both religiously (have seen BB 4 times). I hope this isn’t the end of the BB universe, there are other opportunities out there and story lines to build off of.

Agree. HBO is currently playing 1 season a day of GoT to lead up to the premier of House of the Dragon. I've been hooked on it like it's new to me even though I've seen it all. So good.

Yeah, it sucks that we know Mike got knocked off toward the end of BB. I loved his character. It would have made for a really great spin off.

I think this is it. All the main storylines are resolved. All the main characters will be either dead or have their story resolved. It’s set in our current universe, so I don’t see what we get out of a spin-off plot with random or extremely minor characters.

I’d rather see this extremely talented team take on something new.

I agree the main story lines are resolved. I think a couple interesting shows would all be prequels would be the vet and how he got all the connections that he did, anything to do with the vacuum salesman and how he got into that business, or maybe the Gus back story.

Can someone help me with all these “vet” references? I’m feeling dumb.

Few more random notes from little sleep and overthinking about this show:

  • I think Gene sees some sort of opportunity where he can again narrowly escape being caught but finally decides to give up the fight and let them catch him. This eliminates the need for a trial the episode doesn't have time for. Bob Odinkirk mentioned in Talking Saul that he's basically trying to bring himself down at this point. Then at the end, we see Jimmy McGill in prison pulling pranks/swindling other prison-mates....however in more of a lighthearted manner. As awful as a person as he is, his charm makes it so we don't want to see him get caught, however it would be a lazy ending if he just escaped everything else well.
  • I think Kim somehow is involved in the final episode but might just be another flashback we haven't seen.
  • I love Talking Saul but also didn't like seeing the characters out of their character if that makes sense. I don't want to think of Tony Dalton as a nice guy ect.
  • I had no idea the "Lalo" question from Jesse was originally asked in BB. I had missed that and thought it was newly added into the Breaking Bad episode last week. What an amazing pull.
If Jimmy does get arrested, I wonder what he gets charged with. He didn’t murder anyone so he might wind up with a charge of conspiracy to deliver drugs or something. Any of you attorneys feel free to weigh in.

I was wondering the same. There’s plenty that he’s guilty of, but I don’t know what the authorities can prove. I would think they have him on tax evasion and other financial crimes at least. He was indirectly involved in poisoning Brock and injuring Ted.

Considering he’s on the run and they are seizing his assets, they must have something on him.

I'm predicting Jimmy goes back to Albuquerque for the last episode. I'm saying that based on one of the clips they keep showing where Jimmy rips his wanted poster off a bulletin board as he's walking past it. If you look closely at the bulletin board, you'll see there are a number of local Albuquerque events being advertised, so it seems apparent that Jimmy is headed back home for the final episode.

Makes sense plot wise and thematically too. It would be a little anticlimactic if it all goes down in Omaha.

If you need to disappear, you call Best Quality Vacuum. You ask for a new dust filter for your Hoover Max Extract Pressure Pro Model 60. He picks you up at a time and place, if you're late he's gone. You have to pay him $125,000, not a dollar less. He takes you to the vacuum store and stashes you underground for a few days while he sets up a new identity for you. He then takes you to your requested place in an empty propane tanker truck. He'll check in on you periodically.

Some people have been theorizing that the vacuum guy will show up again based on how Kim took note of his business card in the vet's black book and the teaser for the finale where Jimmy mutters the vacuum line a couple times. I remember the producers saying they filmed everything they needed to before Robert Forster died, so they could be sitting on a scene with him, knowing how they want the show to end.

But the guy who played Ed died in 2019. So it would have to be a different actor.
