We don't know for sure that Chuck dies. For all we know Chuck takes the winnings from the case and cashes out leaving Jimmy with his **** flapping in the wind. So Jimmy ditches the McGill name and goes solo.

This is what I think happens.

Good point. I just assumed he would die and that would cause the big change from Jimmy to Saul. It could definitely be something like you described.

Do you guys think he'll become Saul soon or near the end of the series? I tend to think it will be near the end of the series.

Also, looks like there may be a rift between Kim & Jimmy from this case too. She's gonna get made partner

Chuck is a shady guy.

I agree.. I am pretty sure he made a late night call to Howard to tell him to not allow Jimmy to be hired by HHM. I think Jimmy finds out about this and that's why he changes his name to Saul Goodman.

Also, Howard is just one of those perfectly pompous characters that makes it easy to hate.

Yeah, I think it's just a matter of time before Jimmy finds out that Chuck is screwing him.

Next week is already the season finale, that's crazy.

This was another epic episode. I did not think I would be enjoying this show as much as I am.

Credit to the posters who called it on Chuck betraying Jimmy with the case.

Another great episode, probably my second favorite of the season. Great storytelling and character development, you can see Jimmy's disenchantment growing weekly. I hope they don't make everyone wait fifteen months for another season after next weekend's episode, like AMC typically does!

The show is pretty darn good. He keeps getting screwed and you can see how he 'breaks bad' in the long run. I think this season is super short b/c they wanted to make sure ratings will be there.....So next season will be a full season. I think they made a whole season, but cut this first season short just to protect their nuts and the ratings are high enough. I be they release the second part of season one earlier. This season was held off until Feb. It was supposed to be out in October.

With this episode, it would be interesting if Saul Goodman comes about as a way to give HHM and Chuck the ole middle finger later on.

He gets another big case (class action seems to be how Goodman became big based on TV spots in BB), tries to partner up on it with HHM using Mike or some other intermediary character to let Saul Goodman into the firm to work on the case together and then *poof* McGill shows up after the papers are signed just to show his ***. That's my crystal ball prediction.

I can't wait til Saul gets hooked up with Mike and the drug dealers.

That's when it'll get good.

I think it's a good show right now, but I'm waiting for it to get really good.... like Breaking Bad was.

Obviously it probably will never live up to BB, but I'm hoping it gets close. But some bigger things are going to have to start happening for it to get as good as BB IMO. It's still kind of slow, which is fine since it's still developing characters, plot, etc, but it will need some more excitement soon IMO.

Wow...can't believe no one caught on to who the tall guy was in the parking garage. No GTA V fans watching Better Call Saul?
