The kind that has crust and some cheese and sauce and maybe some toppings.
And a Capri Sun with a bonus canny bar.

The adult version of this is great. Piece of pita bread, marinara sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni. Toss it in the toaster over for a couple minutes and you have a quick snack.

I've only had places that claim to be "New Haven" in other cities but even from that I can imagine why it's considered the best by many.

I studied abroad in Italy at ISU and had pizza almost every day, sometimes lunch and dinner (you can thrive on that at 21). The quality really ranged a ton from 2/10 to 10/10 depending on the place and there's a pretty big variety there too. Definitely cannot make a blanket statement that pizza is better or worse in US or Italy.

Like @nfrine said they're all good. I like how people are getting more informed on options and there's a growing demand for them. A Taste of NY, Parlor, and the multiple deep dish places have been welcomed additions in Metro. Used to not be able to have the options. It was hand tossed, thin, or thick

Chicago Taver Style is the GOAT zaa

Anywhere in particular you like?

I had a Rosatti's near my office for about 8 years so I had that very often even though it wasn't my favorite. $5 for 2 pretty big slices and a soda, i think can of RC typically. They did have above average sausage even though it wasn't the greatest example of tavern style pizza. I think everywhere in Chicago has good sausage.
