I don't think it will take 3 years. Good S&C coaching will have him ready in a couple years. Especially if he is more of a receiving TE. He doesn't need to add 50 lbs.
I clicked a link that said he was 185. I clicked on another that listed him at 215. Depending which one is accurate, I could see it being closer to 2 years than 3.

185 seems a little light. He's definitely thin but not a stick and he's 6'5". I would've guessed around 200

He's been a gameday inactive since coming off the injured/reserve list, so he's "active" but hasn't dressed for a game yet.
Yeah, I have noticed the Ravens have a 3rd TE in front of him on the depth chart, aside from Andrews and Likely. Missing 10 weeks of the season and fall camp really puts you behind the 8 ball. Hopefully Charlie can avoid the Hakeem Butler career trajectory. Seems like Hakeem got hurt super early in his pro career and then basically lost his opportunities due to that.

Don't know what kind of speed he has, but at 6'5" maybe he could be a Larzard/Butler kind of wide receiver.

He could easily gain 30 lbs by the time his RS SO season starts
Two different graphics could be leading to confusion. The 247 graphic says he is 6'5"/185lb. The cyclone Twitter graphic says he is 6'6"/215lb

So, he's already put on 30 pounds in the past year. Seems to look like he knows the task at hand.

Kolar is 6'6/260 today and was listed 6'6/238 his freshman year

I'd like us to grab the receiver who opened up his recruitment too. Also from Lincoln and I believe higher rated than the receiver we have coming in also from Lincoln.

I guarantee I could gain 30 lbs by his RS SO season...
30 pound in a year, I could do it. Most kids that age that are working out can put on massive amounts of weight in a year just by eating enough. The way our tight ends have been blocking it does not matter how much he weighs. Just throw in a little Chase Allen want to, and the any of the freshmen tight ends could play a lot of football if they got after it blocking. The current tight ends could play a lot more if they figured out how to be tenacious blockers.

the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder had 81 catches for 1525 yards and 21 touchdowns in leading Pierce to a state title.

The above came from an article on HuskerMax, so I think he is NOT 185 pounds. And wow! That's a lot of catches and yards for a high school tight end. However, Pierce is a small town, so I'm sure he was a man among boys.

In this interview he says he's 215-220, talks specifically about putting weight on. Looks like he could still add a bunch of good weight too. Sounds like a good kid. Nice get.

I've been reading the Husker forum on this flip to ISU. Their fans..... so ignorant and delusional. They truly still think they are a blue blood and relevant. There is no rational basis for a rural Nebraska kid to go to ISU. Especially a TE!!! Well, it must be for playing time since ISU has no TE success to point to. Oh and of course Big 12 isn't even P5.

Husker fans put down the new Big12. The 4 new teams are real "powers" (ha-ha-ha). Well, all 4 of those teams had winning records and are going to bowl games. So that is 12 out of 14 Big 12 teams in bowls. Meanwhile the B1G had Nebraska, Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan State and Rutgers all down this year. Minnesota and Wisconsin both underperformed as well. That's half your conference! But their posts are so high and mighty. You'd think Nebraska is a paradise while Iowa is just a wasteland to hear them tell it. Really? There's one inch between us. SMH.

Yeah his 247 profile has also been updated. He’s closer to 215-220

The couple N fans I know have been pretty humble since they fired Polini, since they know the school was trying to fly too close to the sun and got burned.

Hey, I live in Omaha. My friends and family are Husker fans. They just don't act this way around me either. But I know darn well in 2010 they were all thinking, "Bwah-ha-ha, have fun Iowa State and Kansas State playing in the MAC or the Mountain West." They just can't help it.

The one thing Nebraska has over us right now is money. And in time that may bring them back to the pack. But for now and the past 7 years or so, they are just a turd in the bottom of the toilet.

SIAP elsewhere, but I was seeing Nebraska fans saying that they expect to flip Beni Ngoyi from ISU. Any potential truth to that or is that just fans speculating because we stole one from them and Rhule went in to visit him?

Speaking of, is Kolar active?

Sounds like they are being careful with him. Can the Ravens support Likely AND Charlie Kolar? Is Likely that good? Plus they are getting Mark Andrews back.

Too bad for Charlie this year. He'll get his chances with the Ravens, I think pretty soon? Even if he's traded (big if), some other team will pick him up. He's too good.
