Beat Iowa Dual Thread

My favorite story i listened to today was the iowa radio guy talking about speaking with St. John in the back area and shook his hand and talked about hunting. Radio guys says” i know tom saw it and was fuming”.

Wrestlers are crazy in general, but Brands make my ex wife seem normal.

Woah that's some high level triggered.

These guys were known for shoving people around post match, etc. back in the day and were looked up to when really they were just complete **** bags.
I was fully expecting a monkey **** fight after we clinched the meet.

Every time I see Brands I just think it’s fortunate for him theres this niche career for wack jobs like him. Because I can’t see him functioning in normal society.

Imagine him being the welcome guy at Walmart.

I was going to say gas station attendant.

I saw Tom send his team to the locker room when it was obvious Rocky had it locked up. Probably safe but also whiney ***** territory with how they have acted in the past.

I’m surprised Hawk fans put up with that. The aggressiveness they had during their heydays under Gable is gone. They used to push us around all meet long. We had to stall to keep the matches close and try to win late. Now, they seem afraid to try anything. Just want to react only and hope that their opponent makes a mistake.
If I saw the stats right they had as many stalls called against them as takedowns.

Keuter didn’t shoot at all and had skates on the whole match. Think he was only hit twice.
Ya. I just rewatched the dual and realized how bad he was. He could've had one or 2 more on him easily, and Endene was bellied doing nothing for a solid 30-40 seconds in the first and got a stalemate/free restart?? Rocky's warning was *********, and MJ's last 2 were brutal. Kennedy just pushed toward the edge and somehow managed to turn one td into 8 points.

Ref was also slow on swipes, either neutral danger or nf, in multiple situations. Frost could've had backs after his neutral danger TD, and MJ had backs at least 2 different times on his OT ride out.

I thought it was bad watching it live, and it was actually worse than that. It used to be one thing when Iowa was actually aggressive and got calls. It's really perplexing how they're getting rewarded now.

Teams couldn't agree where to start so went to coin flip. We won and got the choice. Gave us the opportunity to start and finish with the 2 matches we were most comfortable with.
Also with the first break after the second match. It gave a decent extra amount of rest to frosty, if he needed it. By starting Yong it allowed us to jump out to a lead and not wrestle from behind.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Iowa puts up with the Brands guys. They haven't won a title in 10 years. It's a non revenue sport, what's the upside with employing these guys?
Gary Barta, Brian Ferentz, Fran McCaffrey, change just takes time.
