If people think the only dirt here is the sexual assaults are kidding themselves. A coach that unethical is not going to stop at just covering up that. Other things will come out, only a matter of time.
Baylor and NCAA Sanctions

possible, and if that happens, and actual major violations are revealed, like in the Dave Bliss case, then I'm sure the NCAA will levy punishment. As it stands, from what we know, that hasn't happened yet.
Getting paid, doctoring grades, the NCAA has very specific rules addressing these kinds of things. The Baylor stuff isn't quite as cut and dry. They obviously did outrageous stuff but in court, this could take years to sort out. I don't think the NCAA wants that, it exposes flaws in their system, flaws that could be very expensive for them to fix. As long as they continue to let the schools handle so much in house, there are going to be schools like Baylor. No doubt this incident has rattled many cages around college sports. The NCAA oversees over 1200 schools, all with multiple programs, do we really believe Baylor football was just one of nearly 50k programs covering something up?
Maybe from what they did wrong during that mess, they will come up with a right way (ie legal) to punish Baylor.
The NCAA dogpiled PSU because they were getting tarred with the same brush and wanted to separate themselves - they were just reacting to the public outcry by joining in the dogpile. It will be same here, pending the level of outcry. As always, they will do what it takes to make the NCAA look good.
And Baylor? Sorry, you are not a blueblood, so you are at risk. You aren't NC bball or Bama football. Real risk.
On scout some posters are saying the radio stations in Texas reported that Baylor's S&C staff has been fired and the reason is because of PED use. Could that bring sanctions?
Maybe Baylor found a way to break every rule in the book? Unlike NC, someone might think it's a big deal to punish women's basketball at Baylor.
The NCAA piled on Penn St because it was overreacting to the media attention regarding the case. They overstepped their boundaries and they know it. They will move much more slowly with Baylor. That was the first major incident that showed the country the NCAA isn't exactly a hands on organization until things have gone way too far. They jumped all over Penn St to hide the fact that they let the schools handle all criminal allegations in house. They have to make it look like they actually care about this stuff, in reality, if they did, they would be doing things to prevent this stuff from happening, not just showing up after its already gone nuclear.
