Congratulations AUS!!!
On a side note, BF has earned some reputation credit in my book. I seem to recall that it was around this time last year when I brought up BF said that AUS has the best potential of any ISU player ever to do well in the WNBA, and remember we had quite a heated debate about it. Of course we have yet to see if Aus will make the roster, let alone succeed, but Seattle seems quite delighted to have her. A first round pick for ISU. I think that says a lot about how smart BF is.

Minimum Rookie Salary For WNBA: $34,500
Average Rookie Salary: $36,500 (plus daily allowance)
Not big bucks, but I'd take 36K to play basketball.
Remember, that is just for the season, which I think is less than six months. The rest of the time they can play in other international leagues and earn even more. Its still a long way from the NBA, but not bad for playing a game.
Seattle had been watching Aus all year. Their head coach was at a couple ISU games.
At least with (hopefully) an ISU player in the league, the WNBA bashing on this board will stop. Sounds like it has already...

Brian coached at UMKC and really was highly thought of early on his career and made the jump at the start of the pro ball for women.
I don't know now but he was a screaming defensive guru way back then.
Pretty neat that there are 3 Aussies on the team now and all are easy on the eyes!!!
