Athletic Facilities across the Nation

I could see this aspect decreasing in value. Now that you can pay players, the importance of new fancy facilities every couple of years may diminish. You still need to have good facilities, but you don’t have to out do your competitors. Before NIL, having fancy facilities and amenities was the only legal way to recruit and sway/woo players.
Kids are always going to be drawn to the newest bells and whistles, and will expect both, great facilities and to be paid top dollar to sign there. Programs like Kansas or Northwestern, having out of world facilities will allow them to bring in better players as long as the money is there to keep paying them.

That's gotta make Leipold happy.

What a good coach and a $300 mil donation can do for one's program. Like what's his face . . . um, Pickens? . . . at OSU.

Don't have a clue what can be done about spending. How does the NFL handle equity, does it attempt to make it so?

Money in college football doesn't seem much different to me than Citizen's United. But, I could just be ignorant about if there are parallels.

The windows at midfield are most likely coaches and TV, possibly also replay. The working press area is in the corner of the end zone. I wouldn't be surprised if radio is in the end zone, too. Some places that ISU has been have the radio booth pushed down around the 10-yard line.

Confirmed: New radio booths at KU are in the end zone corner...

...and it's just TV broadcast and coaches' booths at midfield.

I'm jealous. Since the season we erected the north end zone scoreboard on erector-like legs, I've though we could do better.

On the outside of those two jungle-gym like uprights attach concrete panels to give it a cool, finished look in the style of concrete found elsewhere in the stadium.

Too expensive, no doubt, when many other updates needed. But imho those legs and the press box says something other than P4.

I'm grumbling, can't afford it, that's just the way it is.

Some doofus gives KU $300 mil. Christ on a bicycle (is this profane? I won't use it again if it is. I'm getting it from Brit tv).

Not college but this walkthrough of the new Iowa United facility is borderline stupid. It's officially a prep school.

It's a prep school so our tax dollars are going to this thing? Damn that's.... interesting. All I'll say about that.

Now that you say that, I'm sure they are since it's considered a private school. I bet very few of those kids, if any, are actually from Iowa. Enrollment can't be much though.

That has to be the best high school facility in the country when they're done though, right? They mentioned in the video about building an arena for home games on top of this facility. I know nothing about the people building it other than they have something to do with medical supplies.

Nice of them to steal the Jack Trice We Will at the very end of the tunnel
Jack Trice wrote in his letter, "I will!"
The We Will Collective for Iowa State used this as the inspiration for their name.
Don't know exactly why/when KU uses "We Will" for athletics. May be related to Adidas like someone else said. I'm not familiar with the connection myself. I just hope it means that KU fans buy some We Will frozen pizzas by mistake :)

Updated look at the UNI-Dome. Still more signage and branding to be added as we go through the fall but Phase 2.1 is all but wrapped up. Phase 2.2 (new restrooms, renovating current restrooms, new video boards/sound system) begins construction in March. Finishing fundraising for Phase 3 (new West entrance/concourse, renovating East Concourse, replacing the track) which they hope to have done during the summer of '27.
