You understand that WSU budget is 74MM and they have said they need to raise 20MM from donors to fund NIL. So they basically have nothing.

Well WSU was relegated from P5 so I’m sure their financials are terrible. ISU will be much better compared to WSU with facilities/ support/ money.

It will. I think there will be parts of it that he will hate. I think he probably took for granted how he could kind of run his own show here.

But there were things about this job that he hated too, so it probably evens out.

IMO Heacock is likely retiring as DC. He will be a highly paid analyst that will provide advice. Campbell needs a DC. Retain the old one. Retain the roster.

I love that he has the same Mt. Union tie that Campbell did. I think that culture rubbed off on Matt.

Knowles has a reputation for being hard to work with. I don't think it is crazy to think it could be a little rocky.

You also never really want the guy on staff that pushed for the job you have. They aren’t happy, and in this situation if something pops up that a player doesn’t like, who do they go to? The guy who has been there longer. You either need to have all the assistants you want or you have to clean house of players and have a roster of your guys. This will be a thorn in his side for a couple years at least.
