Assistant Coaches

The is an example for every circumstance. ;). This guy very well may work out, but it seems like the only thing that got him the job is that he met Jamie.

It's comparable to TJ except that TJ actually did know Jamie for years.

I read an article about how he was frustrated with the NIL at WSU. I bet he'll be thrilled with Jamie running the NIL show here.
You understand that WSU budget is 74MM and they have said they need to raise 20MM from donors to fund NIL. So they basically have nothing.

Well WSU was relegated from P5 so I’m sure their financials are terrible. ISU will be much better compared to WSU with facilities/ support/ money.

Jammie, in his press conference said Penn State should let Campbell be Campbell and he will do great things, dont mess with him. Telling Matt who is DC is going to be is not a good way to start. Maybe he thinks he can strong arm him and the DC will quit. Who knows, who cares.

IMO Heacock is likely retiring as DC. He will be a highly paid analyst that will provide advice. Campbell needs a DC. Retain the old one. Retain the roster.

I hear ya. I believe keeping Smith helps the most with that.

The DC must be fully aligned with with the CEO wants. Maybe they met and are aligned.

With a statue, job security, and the greatest coach in ISU history yes. Now he’s getting double the money and getting his friends paid.
One big happy family reunion going to happen over there. Hopefully for them it doesn't fall apart. Much different expectations.

They’ll be aligned until they’re hit with Ped St’s first ugly losses. Finger pointing behind the scenes aligned with current DC will occur.
That’s why all CEOs want their own people.

Knowles has a reputation for being hard to work with. I don't think it is crazy to think it could be a little rocky.

You also never really want the guy on staff that pushed for the job you have. They aren’t happy, and in this situation if something pops up that a player doesn’t like, who do they go to? The guy who has been there longer. You either need to have all the assistants you want or you have to clean house of players and have a roster of your guys. This will be a thorn in his side for a couple years at least.
