***@ Arkansas State Pregame Thread***

The Ohio game was really fluky with the illness stuff going around at that time. I'm sure the staff also learned from it so they can handle it better if it does happen again. I also think that the depth is in a much better place now as well.
Ohio is also usually good. Arkansas State is not. They've gone 9-3 the last three seasons. Already beat WVU and almost beat Rutgers this year.

This is such a Campbell-ism its funny.

Still, a mobile QB is usually this defense's weakness. He appears to be very accurate @ 72.3%, but vs Arkansas he only had an average of 3.8 yards per completion compared to Rocco's 7.9. He would be the key to keeping their drives going.
I'm guessing they throw a ton of screen passes. We usually defend those pretty well because our corners are DOGS when it comes to tackling.

I remember Geno Smith's senior year at WVU he had super efficient passing numbers. Like 72% completion rate. Over half his completions were behind the line of scrimmage because West Virginia's system threw a **** ton of screen passes to the receivers.

So true! Just off the top of my head I can think of a few plays already that they completely blew up the play, even with well set up screen blocking.

Part of the Chicago Bears drafting of Mitch Trubisky at #2 in 2017 was based on his completion rate. But the North Carolina offense he came out of was the same thing. Let's just say it didn't work out.

I had to go back and rewatch this, because it seemed off to me. For those of you who didn’t catch it yet, this is an intentional misquote of what Campbell actually said.

He was actually said it in terms of mobility, throwbity, playmaking standpoint. The quote chopped that right out of the middle.

In short, he’s a better combination of mobility and passer than anyone we’ll yet play. In other words, the passers aren’t terribly mobile.

Lying through omission is still lying. Irresponsible journalism.

Six minute mark.

JP on the coaches show talked about going to Arkansas State saved $4 million. Interesting to hear. Can listen on the varsity app
I'm going to need to see the math on that one. Arkansas State was just bought by Virginia for 2027 for $1.1M.

Was he planning on losing $5.1M on gameday? Is traveling to Jonesboro free?
