We are? We had a ok quarter and a half. Fortunately Iowa was more incompetent. Should win, but dropping this one wouldn’t be a shock either given how Septembers go for us.
An okay quarter and a half is probably enough to beat ARST, too.

Hey, last team we beat Iowa, we won the following game to start 3-0. The problems were almost every game after that!

I do trust this group to keep it together for 8ish wins (had 7ish pre-season) more so than '22.

That is probably true. On the 2022 note, the signs were there for a train wreck season after that 3-0 start. Our Iowa win this time looked much stronger. (Not saying a whole lot)

Unfortunately I’m still waiting for that wtf loss at Houston to round out September. This year definitely won’t end up like 2022 though.

I think OP read one post, granted there aren't many. This thread has the other view https://247sports.com/college/arkan.../iowa-state-line-236348818/?page=1#M236361331

I thought that thread was full of (mostly) reasonable and clearheaded takes.

I have to respect somebody to be enough of a fan of Arkansas State to post there. It can't be easy being a fan of a G5 program that is never going to have the resources or prestige of an Iowa State.

Think how we think of schools like Ohio State and Georgia and multiply that by ten.

Kinda same unfortunately. When was the last time isu started 4-0 or 5-0? I know we’ll be favored to do it, just not sure if I’ve ever seen it in my life so I’m skeptical

As a Cyclone fan and generally optimistic dude, I have years of experience of talking myself into ways we could possibly win games that we likely won't. I find their board to be pretty relatable.
I went to look and it looks very familiar. Start out the week after the loss feeling down and predicting ISU is going to be even tougher than their trip to Ann Arbor and not giving their team much of a chance. Then they see chatter on CF that Cyclone fans don't give them much of a chance and start getting offended and wondering who the hell do ISU fans think they are. Then they here CW and Blum being dismissive of them on the podcast and focusing more on future Big XII opponents and talk themselves into the fact that they can win because they are a lot better than we think they are and they are going to surprise us. Sounds incredibly familiar.

After taking the time to go on " THE DEN" ( Arkansas State's message boards) I have learned that the majority of the Red Wolves fans are very optimistic. They believe if they can spread us out and widen the field they can expose our secondary. They also are in hopes of getting back an experienced offensive lineman ( Makllan) to bolster their young offensive line . They think they will be able to establish a running game based on Iowa and North Dakota's running production. They have little respect for Coach Heacock's defense and feel they have a good chance.
That being said... what do you see are IOWA STATE's keys to victory?

Anyone else getting the suspicion attendance is going to be bad? Like worst since Tech in ‘16. Drake doesn’t count.
Have you been hearing/seeing ads for tickets from the Athletic Department for Saturday? What is setting off the spidey senses?

Just curious what makes you think this? The weather is supposed to be good and the team is winning. Yeah a few people are in the fields but not going hard yet.

I’ve seen a few public “hey, we need to get out for this team” posts from CW and even the football social media team. They don’t do that when sales are good.

Yeah, I was concerned when I saw the Michigan score, but when I saw game recap, they were up 28-3 going into 4th quarter, AFTER turning the ball over at least three if not four times. Arkansas scored twice in last two drives, when Michigan was said to have second and third units on the field. At least that is what I read.

I watched some of that game. The Michigan QB was awful. Threw a bunch of bad picks and now he's benched for this week. And they were still way up going into the 4th.

I think season ticket sales were down this year (makes sense with no iowa or Texas along with the unfamiliarity with some of the new big 12 teams).

Idk, I read the situation more as we really need to try to sell this game out to show support for a good team. Less than 50K would be disappointing to me, but I bet the athletic department wants 58K+

Well I think they have reached a price point that even Cyclone fans evaluate staying home vrs going to the game.

Two FB posts earlier today from ISU Athletics said both single game parking and single game tickets are available for this Saturday.
