Had pretty good balance on defense at least getting into the face of Fifita at times to tip passes or at least get him to change his arm angles. Think this led to some of his inaccuracies as well as the pick by Patton near the end zone. Got home on a couple sacks, too, with Verdon showing out on his (chump announcers were so ill prepared they didn't call out his name).

AZ sold out to stop the run & were man-to-man a lot, at least in the 1st half. They were demoralized after the early deep ball to Sowell. Then later on the deep shot on 3rd & long also to Sowell, AZ was in man-to-man (announcer questioned why they were man-to-man. Because they disrespected ISU's WRs & Rocco.

Ultimately, AZ hadn't played anyone with a pulse other than KSU, so their stats were inflated & they have not moved into the upper half of the Big 12 let alone the upper echelon of the conference.

We had way, way better rush lane discipline last night than previous games. Fifita was frequently kept in the pocket instead of given opportunities for busted plays.

Did they change something with Verizon phone reception? Last few years I had no issue with my cell reception. I could get on Reddit and read the commentary from the peanut gallery mid game no issue. So far this year I can’t even send a text message.

I have T-Mobile and I had no issues texting pics and video along with anything else that requires data etc.

Our offense with a true WR1 is filthy. We'd happily run it all day, but if you want to stack the box, we have two elite TEs, some dangerous WRs and a QB that really doesn't make a lot of mistakes. And, an OC that isn't too stubborn to take what the defense gives. I'm a little more concerned with the defense. Obviously, Heacock's plan was to keep Fifita in the pocket and make them dink and dunk down the field. He did at times. They drove it up and down the field on us, but only got two TDs. I did like the 4 man front at times to get pressure. We absolutely cannot afford more injuries at DB.

The rules analyst ESPN went to, said the flag should’ve been picked up because of the push. I disagree with that. Curious what others think

I was at the game. They didn’t show that very well.

Also, I know they are showing what is supposed to be able to be seen by the replay guy but I really can’t see much when they have 8 different views on the video board.

Sama was not good last night

Sama also got several of his carries when it was obvious we were running on first and second down to kill clock. There were several times he got the ball with 3 guys in his face.

At this point Kstate is half a game infront of AZ in the conference even though they lost to them. These non conference games between conference teams are awful.

Honestly I don’t care about that at all. It'll work itself out by the end of the season. If it were better teams then it would matter.

I'd like to add that we can stop calling timeouts at the end of the first quarter when an opponent is going to punt. It almost bit us again.

They called timeout to force Arizona to punt into the wind. That is a Football 101 concept.
