I'm a real pansy when it comes to cold weather. I'd gladly spend up to 50 bucks for warm feet.

Are they worth it? Do they work well? Can you wash them?

I icefish with some guys that use them, but I’ve never had the need. Good boots and wool socks work well for me.

Idk why, but this reminds me of the 'Silicon Valley' TV show's start-up that was trying to sella product that heats you using microwaves.

Wife had the battery operated footbeds for her ski boots... She has Reynaud's syndrome and it works great for her.

I have a pair and like them. They aren't overly warm, but it would be pretty dangerous if they did get too hot. You have to be somewhat careful with them though so you don't damage the coils and just have an expensive pair of regular socks.

I have a pretty severe case of Raynaud's. So if it is below 40 degrees, I am inside. Yet I still live in the midwest.

My daughter has a pair. I think they work pretty good, but I don't think the batteries last very long.

Since I don't know how old your daughter is I'll just go with it'd be a lot easier to reply appropriately to a comment like this if you'd said "wife".

Go buy a pair of Smartwool socks. I got a pair from Gander Outdoor in Cedar Rapids last week. Then buy some toe or foot warmers. That combination works great.

I loved my Smartwool socks so much I wanted to buy another pair so I checked out D-I-C-K'S Sporting Goods in Cedar Rapids. They have some, but I only saw long ones marked as for skiing. I didn't see any regular socks. So I bought a 6-pack of Under Armour socks and I can tell you they are not close to the same thing. They are nice socks, but not near the warmth of the Smartwool. I should have known better because I got 6 pair of UA for about the same price as one pair of Smartwool.
