Yep! They rock. I have 2 of their albums and cycle to them often! Heck, they sound great through a pair of Paradigm towers as well. ;)

I really like their sound. The radio plays the ever loving **** out of all of their songs though.

Actually, only 2 songs they play the crap out of. They have a lot of good songs. As far as songs overplayed, I love this video...Howlin for you...the black keys meet Quentin Tarantino. I hear Lonely Boy, Gold on the Ceiling, Howling for You and Tighten Up constantly. I know that's what radio does, just saying.

Why I dont listen to the radio. IMO their older stuff rocks a lot harder than their newer stuff. Gold on the Ceiling, however, only gets played at one volume in my car: Loud.

The Black Keys are better live than on their albums. Saw them at Val Air and they were amazing. I do like most of their new stuff but some of their old albums were legit.

i can play -- peter, peter, pumpkin eater -- on the black keys ...... does that count??

I haven't really listened to The Black Keys much except for what I hear on the radio. I've got Goothrey's video playing in another tab so I can listen while I browse CF. I like their music and I'm always looking for new stuff to listen to.

I would suggest Rubber Factory or Attack and Release.

I love Black Keys old and new. I own every single album. While I can say they have definitely changed their sound a bit or "evolved", I don't yet see them as "selling out"... Newer sounds are still very interesting to me.

They've definately evolved in a good way. If you listen to their early stuff, you can sort of tell they knew what they wanted to do but hadn't refined their sound yet. Some of the latest albums are a little clearer sound, a bit tigher on the vocals.

If you can find it, there was a pretty good feature in Rolling Stone a few months ago that shows how the two of them got together. Sounded like Carney and Auberbach knew each other in high school but Carney was the outcast and Auberbach was a star/stoner soccer player. Good read.

I feel like I am obligated to like them since they are from my hometown... they just don't it for me though
