Ames NIL Club announced

Can't be good for WeWill Collective. More competition for fans spending more money. PLUS the players are promoting it directly.
Wish WeWill could swallow this up.
Not speaking for Blum at all but I could see different fans contributing to different things. I contribute to We Will. I like the players getting paid for their NIL to do some good. I don’t care as much about getting access to the players. I’m sure there is a set of fans who value that

who designed this website/video?.... its not good.
The "Ames NIL Club" is from the NIL Company "Yoke". They are the same company that started Iowa's, Kansas State's, Oklahoma's, etc.

If this is your jam, by all means support it. Support these boys in any way that you can.

However, my personal funds will be directed towards the Iowa State led "We Will" Collective. From Iowa Staters, For Iowa Staters.

Plus, I know the guy at the helm @brentblum cares more about the Cyclones than a random NIL Company trying to make a buck.

Why are some people crapping on the players for this? They have the right to profit from their NIL. If people want to contribute to get some exclusive access to the players then that is their right.
I’ll need to think about it a little harder and read about it more. I’d like to know how the funds get distributed among the players. I’d consider paying someone with a personality like Niang for an hour Q&A. That doesn’t mean I would do the same for everyone. Nor should someone that does have marketability have to subsidize his teammates.

I’ll be interested to learn more details.

I mean Iowa has two and it's worked well for them so far. This is just for the football team it sounds like, WeWill involves all sports.

I just read through some of the content on the site. It clearly states funds will be split evenly. I honestly don’t like that structure and think it will lead to more challenges for whomever created it.

I also think WeWill is aimed at generating money from larger donors who are happy to give money away to keep players whereas this is better suited for the avg fan to get content out of their donation.

I think folks just need to realize there's going to be a lot of NIL trial and error in the next couple years. I hope everything works out to benefit Iowa State and our players/community but initially it may burn some fans out having multiple outlets directing funds to players. It's come a long way from when Ejim had to turn my group down when we drunkenly tried buying him a celebratory whopper at the KC Burger King bar back in 2014.

I’m all for players getting whatever they can and ideally We Will would grow to the point where all Iowa State players are taken care of. Just want to make folks aware Yoke gaming takes 25-30 percent of all funds directed to their websites including this Ames NIL club. We Will’s operating costs are significantly less. But certainly all for whatever players can get.

Idk this feel's like something that will fizzle out after a few months. Outsiders from a thousand miles away running this, probably not with the actual athletes best interest inind? This is like NFTs with everyone trying to cash in and make a few bucks on the student athletes while they can. Who knows what cut the people running this are getting compared to the collective which is run by Iowa State fans and alumni, who I know have what's best for ISU at heart.
That all being said I hope this works out for them and they can make some extra cash and are happy.

For reference of course.

Going to kinda sound like a prick, but if I’m a player/recruit, I would I much rather do this than through the WeWill. (I know the WeWill isn’t about getting recruits, but getting and retaining the best players is the goal). The idea of paying players for doing charity work is great and will be extra money in their pocket, but getting paid to do charity work isn’t going to stop any player from getting paid just to play at an Auburn or an Ole Miss.

Curt's Clones - A collective to just simply pass out cash to the various student athletes and prospective student athletes.

How's it work - Simply send a donation earmarked for whatever athlete or prospective athlete you want the money to go to. If the prospective student athlete does not choose Iowa State then you simply redirect the donation to another. When I give them the money we will take a selfie flashing the cash with a shout out to the donor and that is your proof it got into the correct hands.

Is my donation tax deductible - Yes it is tax deductible (as long as you engage Curt to prepare your taxes).
