Anybody in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area find West O in local stores this summer? Not just Ames Lager, but any West O beers?

I've given up. A few years in of Ames Lager, and still nothing. Local store managers say it's up to distributors (and they just laugh by now each time I ask again), distributors say it's up to the stores, and West O says they've been talking with Fahr since last summer, but still nothing.

I haven't seen a West O beer anywhere in a long time. Happy's used to get them every once in a while but it's been probably a year since I've seen any.

Been to happy’s a few times looking for it and they never have it. So I assume it does not exist there

I can’t speak for Cedar Falls/Waterloo specifically, but I always have luck at HyVee in other towns.

That's my suspicion. Just wanting to hear it from someone who is a store manager who has personal experience with how the system works.

I haven't ever seen it anywhere in Cedar Falls. Hyvee or Happys. The guy in Happys thought it was an Omaha beer when I asked about it.

Unfortunately with the difficult times in the craft beer industry, Fahr Bev decided against adding us to their roster at this time. While we are obviously frustrated, we completely respect the decision to not add us. Having to do so would require them to kick someone out of their portfolio. The closest area to you that carries us would be Hardin and Franklin Counties. The line cuts off for Fahr around Traer, Center Point to the south/southeast.

Similar question with We Will essential being absorbed into the athletic department and the athletic department already working with other breweries what's the future of Ames Lager? I'm sure West O can brew it as long as they want, but will it still have the same impact?

Continue to get it on more shelves and we’ll keep drinking it! Distribution has improved massively but still miles behind others that shall not be named.

But I can’t get it at concerts at the Ames Bandshell. Is distro so bad there’s not enough for local events?
