Is I-80 and the Loess hills some kind of natural barrier that keeps Ames lager out?

I like to think that the Loess hills is our version of The Wall from game of thrones. Keep the savages to the west out of Iowa.
Got someone going to be in Iowa so I'm having him try and find me some this weekend. My expectations are low. Hoping to at least get the Clone Fest and Jack Trice beers
I picked up clonefest after I couldn't find Ames lager when passing through. I enjoyed it, if Ames Lager is as good or better I think I found my go to beer.
I love Oktoberfests and I have had the Clone Fest in the past so I'm excited for that one. Ames Lager will just be a different style. Glad at least a little of my Clone Fest purchase goes to the university

Valley West Hy-Vee has it in stock right as you walk in the door to the left. I picked up 2 sixers
Clonefest is better IMO, but I am biased considering festbier and marzen are two of my favorite styles. But Ames Lager is fantastic too. Very much preferable to any of the domestic counterparts.
Have not had a chance to try the Trice Red Ale yet, but am hoping for good things as that is another style I enjoy.
Urbandale Hy Vee said they wouldn’t be getting some Ames Lager until Thursday at the earliest
Does anyone know how much has been sold? When I talked to my Hy-Vee on launch day it didn’t sound like they got much at all.
Johnson Ave Hy Vee was out, no one around to ask if they eveb got any in. I called the Hy Vee drug store on Center Pt Rd and Blairs Ferry. They didn't get any today and might next Tuesday.
Local Craft posted a picture on Facebook an hour ago - they have some. Looks like the standard 10 flats of it (at the time anyway)
Just picked some up at Local Craft. Probably 5-6 flats left.
Reminds me of when Templeton was new and it sold out each shipment in minutes. Embarrassing that the Swarm beer is everywhere and you can't find Ames Lager anywhere, and football season is here.
It's not that embarrassing. Swarm has a 2+month head start on Ames Lager. West O will catch up.
