Related beer note

I see barntown is now brewing a beer for Drakes collective

Frustrating the bulldogs have 2 of the best breweries in Des Moines producing a beers to support their NIL

The thing I don't get is there are other West O beers in all of these stores so why wouldn't the distributors push for Ames Lager(arguably their beer in most demand) to be on as many shelves as possible.
At my favorite local shop, Doll Distributing brings WestO Coco Stout and the Marzen but no Ames Lager. Doll rep is telling the shop they can’t get Ames Lager. I’ve been patient but it’s been almost 6 months and they still can’t fill the shelves.

I have trouble believing that a distributor in Iowa "can't get Ames Lager."

I have not tried Prowl yet and WILL NOT ever try Swarm.
I don't know about the Prowl to be honest. There may be a huge demand for a UNI NIL product but I sort of doubt it. But I also know people who were excited for Swarm when it rolled out and bought a six pack right away who still have four of them.

Point being, Ames Lager is apparently a good product and they are obviously having trouble meeting demand. This is something that can be resolved, and a better situation to be in over time than brewing tanker loads of **** beer at a high price that is piling up everywhere.

(Whispers) The reason you can find Swarm and Panther Prowl in shelves everywhere is because they are ****.
Prowl is good. SingleSpeed did a really nice job with it. Light, easy, drinkable.

Swarm might be the worst beer I've ever had. It's like Hamms brewed with old socks.

Ames Lager is good as well. Again, easy to drink and I haven't had any issues finding it.

SingleSpeed and Exile just have more name value at this point than WestO and that hurts distribution. I'm sure they'll get it figured out.

West-O has many terrific beers. I hope they open a second location in Central Iowa (Cy-Town would be awesome). Ownership group are true Cyclone fans and even better people. I have no doubt they will continue to increase availability.

Looks like Backpocket came out with a Forever True blonde ale.
can someone explain to me the thought process behind ISU approving trademark for their 3rd ISU beer which will compete with the 1 beer that actually does benefit our collective?

all the while refusing to sell any of the beers in their sports venues

ISU has to be the only school in the country with 5 different beers representing their school, yet none available to purchase at their sporting events
