Went to a rattlers playoff game when in PHX several years ago. A lot of fun in person. It also takes a degree of toughness to actually watch arena ball too....

The previews look so strange, I don’t even know how to describe it. It feels extremely forced.

The reviews were pretty high on this movie, which surprised me because the previews didn't look good.Anybody see this yet? I was really impressed. It wasn't as cheesy or religious as I thought it would be. It seemed really well done and not a low budget movie by any means.
The one issue I did have with it is it shows a rodeo being held before his first arena game. It shows them in their home jerseys, I've been to Vets Auditorium numerous times and I'm pretty sure you can't fit a rodeo and an arena game into the same building simultaneously.
He got one of my kids interested in sports just watching him so I thank him for that.
I don’t think he has ever portrayed himself as a saint. Not sure if the movie does that.
I enjoy him as an analyst too. So many of the talking heads make me want to hurl things at the TV.
Also made UNI look kind of like a Wartburg type school with the field and such. Also I felt a little more time could have been spent on his early career. He was a good high school QB with not much recruiting interest. Overall a good movie that I would see again. It does not. It makes him very, very human.
Saw it a second time because my daughter wanted to see it and the only real complaint I have is that they turned Terry Allen and his HS coach into one person but that's pretty minor. It's a fun movie.

I did lol at the gas can they used in one seen. Looks like it was just bought this year.
I used to work with the guy; he’s not all wholesome and genuine as he presents.
He’s not a bad human but he has allowed himself to be perceived inaccurately to who (or how he acts) he really is.
(comments are made on a deliberate broad time line of 2000-2010)

Most celebrities are not who they are made out to be, but is he supposed to throw out a **** you during interviews to correct the persona? Not one of us is perfect, and people do change over time.
It's not really that religious. I went in thinking it would be one of those movies on Lifetime with religious themes and it's not at all. Yeah, they mention God a few times, but it's not overly annoying.Since this venture was backed by a faction of the religion industry am I right to assume the formulaic and maudlin is baked in?
It’s got a real sterile look to it. Like Hallmark spent double the budget on one of their movies.
Did he have any real adversity in his life? Other than just having to work his way up.
