It's a shame to see him go. One of the few remaining old fashioned bruisers in the league. Every Madden season I ever played I started with a trade for Mike Alstott.

One of my favorite players. Wish I never got rid of his jersey. Hopefully they'll upgrade his fantasy football hall of fame membership to a pro football hall of fame membership 5 years from now.

Me too. When was the last time he played significant time in over half of the games during a season?

he also sat out most of the 05 season aas well with the neck injury...came back in 06 and was productive..tho what extent i dont really recall.

Since Gruden has been aboard, Pittman, Thomas jones, and then Caddy all saw much more sigificant playing time than Alstott. many say that mike never fit into grudens style of the WCO, but alstott has surprisingly good hands in the pass catching game so he was a threat that way.

Its sort of interesting that once dungy/dunn left Alstotts career went south.
