That is a tough list to make. Not really enough stand out small forwards.

Rahshon Clark I would have at $2. Then at $1 I would probably have Will Clyburn, Gilstrap, or Pearson. Put Clark ahead of the others because he was a four year guy.

Kane ($4)
Thompson ($3)
Gilstrap ($2)
Brackins ($2)
Cato ($4)

Cato and Brackins would have been an awesome combo in the post. Gilstrap was very underrated while at ISU (poor coaching). Thompson was an AA. Kane could be the do it all guy.

Also Dean Uthoff should be on the center list somewhere and Bill Cain was a power forward.

15$? Give me...

Blalock $2
McGee $1
Hoiberg $4
Fizer $5
Cato $3

Good luck guarding Hoiberg and McGee and Fizer.

Just taking a quick look at it, I came up with the same exact lineup. Cato and Fizer together would be a force down low. I especially like Cato at $3 for his defense. Hoiberg and McGee spreading the floor and shooting 3's would be great. Of course Hoiberg will be player/coach for the team. Blalock would be solid at PG distributing the ball.

Interesting. I'd take:

PG - Stockton ($2)
SG - Jordan ($5)
SF - Lebron ($5)
PF - Dirk ($2)
C - Hakeem ($1).

Although, I would also be tempted to pick Shaq ($2) instead of Hakeem and Garnett ($1) instead of Dirk. Got to have a facilitator PG to go with all these big time scorers and alpha dogs. Stockton fits the bill.

Edit: I'm assuming these players are all playing during their prime.

This was my team as well. Just took Dirk because I had $2 left and need that position. May have taken Pippen or Garnett if I didn't have to have one at each position (I guess it doesn't say anywhere that you have to).

I go back to the Floyd era, so my rankings are going to be a little more approximate, but here is the basics of what I came up with in my head and with a little help from the statistics:

(1)
---
Jamaal Tinsley $5
DeAndre Kane $4
Diante Garrett $3
Will Blalock $2
Mike Taylor $1

(2)/(3) choose two
---
Jeff Grayer $5
Barry Stevens $5
Gary Thompson $4
Fred Hoiberg $4
Jeff Hornacek $3
Dedric Willoughby $3
Chris Babb $2
Curtis Stinson $2
Tyrus McGee $1
Marquis Gilstrap $1

(4)
---
Marcus Fizer $5
Royce White $4
Melvin Ejim $3
Craig Brackins $2
Jackson Vroman $1

(5)
---
Zaid Abdul-Aziz $5
Victor Alexander $4
Kelvin Cato $3
Loren Meyer $2
Paul Shirley $1

Feel free to adjust. This was a first stab at it. We had a ton of big guards/small forwards with really good careers, but frankly more guards than SFs, so I thought to combine the category, given that is less and less of a distinction in modern basketball.

Suggestions for revision of players and $$$ are to be expected, but as you said, it's a starting point.

Consider the SGs you left off too...Scotty C, Jake Sullivan, Babb for example
