All ISU 3rd & 4th down plays

I wonder how many negative running plays we had this year, it has to be a lot?

we are going to miss pettway. it felt like he was mr 3rd down. i think pettway and kolar converted 75% of the 3rd downs.

I think Lanning was something like 10 for 10 on 4th down conversions his last year.

Why can't we just recreate the LanRam? Lanning was listed at 6-2, 230 pounds. Easton Dean is 6-6, 230 and used to play QB. Put him in on short yardage and run the ball. Throw to break tendencies.

Hell, just put Kolar at QB and let him dive forward.

On plays that are obvious rushing plays, such as 3rd-and-short or 4th-and-inches, why can't we put Re-al in? The only argument I can see for keeping Purdy in for such a play is the possibility of a misdirect and doing a passing play instead, but the percentages are very low when such a thing is done compared to just letting a rushing quarterback do a sneak.

I just wish we could have made a first down on half of those plays. That may have put us in the Sugar Bowl. Reality says there was failure.

Monday--when you get back to work--can you re-publish this with "Kolar" in red bold? thanks. Or, I could just ask any of the Notre Dame coaching staff's opposition research for that too. South Dakota and UNLV staff already have it too I bet.

You guys asking for all this extra stuff, you know you can get the play-by-play from Cyclones.com, right? It's all in pdfs so you can search for whatever keywords you want.
