We don't get a single player on all defensive 1st team? Don't we have the top defense in the conf? Or close to?

Higgins left off 1st team too.

This deserves several X call outs by our AD versus the little scrum with SMU's AD the other day.
Absolutely absurd. Higgins not on 1st team?? He split a fair amount of statistics with Noel, who was also screwed. Seriously, wtf??

For those of us clamoring Higgins for 1st team.. here are the stats of all 4. Guessing it was a very close vote. I cant argue one way or the other based of stats between Tyson/Higgins. The other 2 deserved it.

Kansas ranked 102nd of 133 teams in the FBS in pass defense.

Jontez and Verdon both had phenomenal years but were arguably the second best player at their positions on the team behind Porter and Freyler.

Tyson had 956 yards going into last weekend and put up 143 in a blowout while Higgins only had 53 in a cold weather game…

I'm not as upset about Higgins as I am about the defense Verdon or Jontez should've been 1st team.

Really outside of our WR's, who on the team really deserved 1st team? None of our players are going to be high draft picks this spring outside of Higgins or Noel, I suppose one of our DB's will get drafted but that is about it or they are coming back for another year.

Porter is projected to be our highest draft pick.

Ya kinda does because if you are a high draft pick you are showing it on the field, you are a difference maker. Who on the roster this season can you really say that about, other than Noel and Higgins? Becht was up and down, our RB's were much the same way, no TE had the stats. We are a very good team, made up of average to a little above average players that are well coached.
