Not really, for some reason CBF started her over the transfers early in the season last year. I assume it was because of her shooting, but it seemed odd at the time. The point of my post was that she is capable of playing the final minutes of a blowout.

And thats what i should have stayed with. That's on me. The known facts are that she is near the end of the rotation and that she did not play today. Beyond that we don't know. It is odd she didn't get in today.
She has played the end of games with the others prior to today -today was an exception - would bet it was health related but who knows.
At some point the rotation will have to be shrunk and there are going to be some players consistently getting DNP. Given how things have played out so far its pretty obvious Tanke will likely be last off the bench this year so getting some extended minutes for players that will be in the rotation regularly is probably going to start taking priority as the competition we play gets better. Think some are making more of this than it needs to be. Bottom line is there are only so many minutes in a game and this ain't rec league so even in a blowout nothing is guaranteed. Even TJ has left his starters in games at times lately when we are up 20 with 2 mins to go. At some point you have to tighten up the rotation and get the players you are going to use the most more minutes to build up some endurance. The women's team is likely going to be doing more of this too going forward.
This is off topic for this thread, but Paulk despite being a dog on the defensive side does has not been a great shooter. I don't think her natural spot is to shoot from the 3 pt line.
It doesn't appear that shooting was one of the reasons CBF recruited her in the first place. 29% from 3 and 34% overall.
At Wofford, Paulk was not a prolific scorer. Last year about 13ppg. Nearly 1/3 of her shots were from deep and connected at a 31% rate compared to 37% overall. Be interesting to see where those other 2/3rds were shot from…mid-range? Close in?

I'll accept her shooting for that defense. We got other gals who can shoot, and she can practice shooting.
While on the topic of playing time I was curious to see what Lily Hansford is doing at Green Bay. Even playing at a smaller school now she isn't getting much for minutes compared to here last year and GB is playing with a shorter bench too as they have only gone 10 deep in any game so far.

We've played all 13 in every game up until this last one. I would guess as we start to player tougher teams on the schedule minutes are going to be pretty sparse for Tanke, Jensen, Wilson, and probably even Lilly T once Bill tightens up the rotation more. I see most of the bench minutes going to Harris, Beaty, Williams, and Paulk based on what we've seen so far.

Def agree, but man…Wilson has sure been earning some playing time with her performances. She impressed me.
I agree, I said it last year she has a certain spunk and swagger and brings a lot of energy when she is in the game. Even on the bench she really gets animated. I bet practice is pretty intense with how good our PG depth is this year. Maybe she earns some minutes but realistically between Jada and Beaty minutes for her are going to be tough to come.by.
