Alice in Chains always delivered. Some examples:
I wasn't even that big of a fan, but this album cover was great.
Was a fan of this 1969 Santana album cover back in the day with it optical allusion of lion faces and African gal.
Lot of controversy with the Stones Some Girls album with the lawsuits for the unauthorized use of the pictures and the Black Girls just want to get ****** all night/I just don't have that much jam" lyric . I was in line at midnight when the album was released and saw the Stones for the first time a month later.

When I was in college in the early 80's, the Residence Hall administration decided to provide paint for us to customize the walls outside our rooms.
My roommate did a great job of painting this Boston album cover. It was awesome to see this wall-size!

I frame album covers and hang them in my man cave. Covers I collect are albums whose music and art I like. My most recent aquisition was the somewhat macabre Lynyrd Skynyrd Street Survivors album cover.

First gig I ever played was with 30+ other bands in an open field outside of Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Bongzilla headlined, and they were amazing as I was expecting. This is one of my favorite albums of all time and the artwork is bad to the bone!
Sometimes the covers themselves become the subject of artists.
