This may be true but Campbell hasn't been shy about starting some freshmen from day 1, including at some pretty important positions like Mike Linebacker. It isn't like he won't start them from day 1 if they are the best option.

But when Rose stepped in, Campbell just took over. Over the last few years, I don't recall many freshman playing early. Even Breece had to sit behind I believe Johnnie Lang & Sheldon Croney for around 3 games.

Sure we might have a couple true freshman (Gaines or Howard) play significant snaps this year, but I doubt they are D or O lineman.
