We're considering buying a home in Beaverdale and adding on to it. Anybody have any rough ideas what this type of construction would cost per square foot? It would likely be around 1000 ft.

Need a couple key peices of info - Are you adding a full basement, foundation with crawlspace, or a slab on grade?

Is it a single story addition or a 2 level addition

These factors are probably the 2 biggest in estimating cost.

Depends on a lot of different factors-kind of like pricing a car by the pound. A kitchen/great room addition or bath area adds alot to the cost compared to just a large family room or bedroom addition. lots of info needed to make an educated guess.

No basement, either crawlspace or slab, and it would likely be on 2 levels. All this is open to change however depending on cost. I'd be happy with a range depending on the options to see if pursuing this makes any sense at all. I realize there are a myriad of possibilities to consider.
