A few things to keep in mind

But if somehow, the Big 12 would stay in tact, they could start their own TV network and make a lot more jack.

Is that theory wrong?

Totally agree with you Chris. At the end of the day I just don't see Texas and their HUGE ego saying, OK we will go to the Pac 10 and split money evenly. My big concern is if Texas does stay in the Big 12, how much more of the pie do they take to "stay"?

Do the sanctions against USC hurt the Pac 10 conference? A high profile conference member won't be eligible for a BCS bid for two years and the loss of 20 scholarships hurts. Plus don't they have basketball sanctions as well.

No, IMO they barely hurt USC. 2 year ban. OK, well this class is already all in, they will miss those two years but it really won't affect the class. Next years class will miss one year and if you are going to USC you likely aren't figuring on playing in that first year. You may, but it isn't something you bank on. 20 scholarships. OK, so instead of being 4-5 deep at each position you are only 3-4 deep. It's really a joke. It looks way worse than it is.
