A Disconnect

Just an observation from the first two games. Was Messingham a power I coach before coming here? He calls games in that style. Seems like he trys to move the defense north and south rather than utilizing the full field as the spread is designed to do.

We wish he would move the offense forward, no questions asked. We have eight or nine receivers and one guy catches half the yardage. We looked a lot like the KU offense from two years ago.

I have no idea what systems he coached in before he was at Iowa State but that should be fairly irrelevant when he is in his fifth year of coaching in this system.

At Missouri State. He was also head coach at Upper Iowa for a while and he might have called plays there too.
